Sustainability
Rooted in responsibility.
How we keep sourcing responsible, traceable and fair — for the people and places behind every ingredient.
People & ecosystems
At Wild Origin, we believe the quality of Madagascar’s ingredients is inseparable from the wellbeing of its people and the health of its ecosystems. Our sourcing principles prioritise organic production, respect for biodiversity and responsible use of land and water. We seek to support farming and harvesting practices that care for soil, preserve natural habitats and avoid damage to forests, while respecting local knowledge and the livelihoods of farming communities.
Fair trade
Fair trade means building relationships based on respect, fair commercial terms and lasting opportunities for producers. We are committed to promoting safe and dignified working conditions, equal treatment and opportunities for women and men, and greater recognition of women’s contribution throughout the supply chain. Child labour, forced labour, harassment, discrimination and all forms of abuse are unacceptable to us. We expect our sourcing partners to share these principles and respect the rights and dignity of every worker.
Responsible governance
Responsible sourcing also requires responsible governance. Our commitments include ethical business conduct, clear responsibilities, prevention of corruption and honest communication about product origins, production standards and certifications. Certification claims should be supported by appropriate, current documentation. As we grow, our ambition is to strengthen traceability and accountability, listen to concerns and address identified problems responsibly. These principles shape the business we want to build: one that brings Madagascar’s premium ingredients to international markets with fairness, integrity and respect for the people and places behind them.
